Boost Controller Question
Im about to buy a boost controller and i just wanted to know the pro's and con's of a basice manual boost controller vs an electronic boost controller besides the difrence in price. So basically is it worth spending the money on the electronic boost controller?

i use a manual boost controller. they work fine, but will always bleed a little bit out so you dont get FULL control of your boost. an electronic one will allow you to set how you want the boost to come in. you can have it just slam you all at once or progressively gain to your desired psi. sweet. i am eating a block of cheese and getting fat as hell thanks,

i like the one i got its a manual one it came with the car if i had to buy one i would of got the electronic one but now that i already have one i like it its very easy to tune

You get what you pay for.
With an electronic boost controller, you can change boost/tune from within the car. As was mentioned before, you can also control when you want the wastegate to open, thereby helping the turbo spool faster/slower. Also, most EBCs will have a safety feature that allows you to set a "boost limit". If you hit that limit, the controller will turn off the extra boost, hopefully preventing you from overboosting and blowing something up.
Many people use MBCs and say they're just fine (which they are), but like I said, you get what you pay for.

MBC's are not consistent and boost levels will change with humidity and ambient temperature.
In my experience, you can't boost the stock turbo up to 18psi.

Im not looking to boost the stock turbo to 18 psi .I heard it wont really go past 12 psi. But i was going to put one on know and boost about 12 on the stock turbo and later on do a BNR stage 4 upgrade. Now that one i was planning to boost 15 to 18 psi and not really mess with anything higher than that.
