Most if not all have a similar or the same attitude towards the FC crowd. They are too cheap for anything to be possibly made for a profit. Short of aftermarket S5 tails and body parts' replicas there isn't ever going to be a good product selection out there. With time things will be discontinued by the bigger companies. Then the cheap guys of the FC crowd will all be screwed.

I would guestimate the "group 4" people are maybe 5% of the people in here. Maybe less.

its deffinatley worth putting one or two on ebay, i would imagine that people who have changed their main cluster lights to blue would jump at the chance. if you could include all of the bulbs and instructions nesecary to change the illumination of the indicators, cruise control etc to blue aswell then you could maybe sell it as a package/kit... just a thought.

No interest here. Adding blue lights to an orange and black interior just looks ugly to me.
For me to be interested in this project, I would want everything to match...
Black gauges with blue lighting. (Remove all orange)
Black Logicon with blue lighting and blue icons.
Black switches with blue lighting and icons...etc etc etc.
I'd spend the money if everything matched. Otherwise it's just rice (IE: Poor taste) to me. My .02 cents.

Nice idea with the blue LEDs. I'd like to see a picture of a logicon with those UV leds you were talking about.
Personally, I wouldn't buy one, but not because I'm not interested, it's just that kind of thing I would do for myself, but as you said:
I would say, offer it as an option when buying a rebuilt or new logicon and see how that goes. If the sell well, stock them. otherwise, leave it as a "special order" thing.

#2 soldering skills. Many people that have no problems rebuilding a motor don't want to or don't have the ability to re-solder and replace Surface mount parts as well as standard soldered on parts. It takes a delicate touch to pull a SMD transister off the board and solder a new one in without letting the genie out of the new transistor or burning the board. So then you have people that say, "hey you sold me this kit, but my [insert part here] still does not work".

In worst case if they don't sell, I'll dump them on eBay again and curse my stupid optimism.
I am going to start long term testing this week (I do warranty everything I build, so they have to last) if everything goes okay then I'll have them ready around early February (that will give me about 5000 hours of testing, before I ship anything to anyone).
I'll go ahead email or PM anyone that wants one when they are ready if you PM or email me with your request to know when they are available.

I have plenty of black lighting on my all-black s5. Looks very good. (If someone in light colors sits in my car, it's like watching a glow in the dark show...)
