Preferably loud? Probably the TurboXS RFL. The Apex'I one is pretty loud, if you set it on the loudest setting. I have the Greddy Type-S. I'd say the type-s is located on the medium to medium-low part of the scale. If you plan on getting a bov, make sure you get "the kit for a FC" version. Basically it comes with the pipe with a section where the bov will attach. It looks like a T sideways -| .
Most people on ebay sell just the bov which means you're going to have to custom fabricate something. My thinking was, if I bought the kit, I know that the company made this bov and the new piping to fit my car. Costs more of course then something home-made. That's entire your decision.
If you want a good example of what "the kit" consists of or should look like, download the instruction PDF file from Apex'i. It has a picture and everything.
I wrote a full instruction word doc if you have problems installing it.

I put my bov on because, well, i drive because i like to drive. everytime i hear the bov go off, it makes my ears bleed. blood squirts out and hits my passenger. Right in the eye. My right bleeding ear has perfect aim, it's uncanny ... like a stigmata. I don't want to drive some super quiet ultra luxury cruiser that has 0db inside and 0db outside and gets 50mpg on regular. if i drive, such as in my 7, my exhaust drones and whines and pops on the outside, it's loud on the inside and i get maybe 20mph on premium ... oh and don't forget the bleeding ears part.
i like to keep it real.

I have the Type H RFL..... at 15 PSI its louder than my buddys Apexi on its loudest setting at 20 PSI on his third gen.... it's friggin retarded loud.
Before you do this, however.. you might want to read the threads on venting the BOV to atmosphere on a stock car... it creates some problems.....

i have a check valve installed, and it makes a BOV sound. I'm pretty sure it leaks under boost as well, so it needs tossed out. I tend to stick to one manufactuer when it comes to parts, so I'll probably end up with a Greddy unit to go with my e-manage....

There's no detrimental problems like the car won't start or anything - at least what i've read from here. I believe and this is my version of it:
basically the stock bov setup is recirculating so all that air goes back into the intake tube. You can actually see/feel it. if you're standing in front of the passengerside headlight, look behind the airbox. the air flows out of the box and through a big tube that ends up making a bend downward (to the floor) and ultimately makes another bend to the right (center of the engine). at the first bend there are 2 items connected to it. one is "large" and one is "small". the large one near the top is where the recirculated air comes back in and the smaller one is a __???__. i don't know what it's called and it's function. i'm still learning.
if you get a bov, the air now goes to the atmosphere and not back into the intake. the computer is already programmed to know that between shifts and when the throttle is let off that "i will be expected a burst of air" so therefore the ecu will add that little extra squirt of gas to balance everything out. well now you have no air (again, air is being vented out) and some gas. so you'll be essentially wasting gas, creating backfire, exhaust pops and all that fun stuff.
other concerns are boost leaks (the bov valve is set to soft) or surging (i believe is the opposite, the bov setting is set too hard).
that's the 5min version.

from an asthetics point of view .. assuming the bov is installed right, set right, runs right, etc etc etc you'll lose like 10miles per tank .. for me that's the case. i use to do 210-ish miles per tank now i get 199-201.
and a get a cool noise maker in the process ... i say go for it. if you like it, keep it. if you don't like it or get tired of it - remember don't throw away stock parts.
