block off plates?
I have a 91 na and have plates for air control valve, bypass air control valve, and subzero start valve. I plan on getting silicon hoses and already have omp lines. but i wanted know is it as easy as taking these things off and blocking them off?(am i going to throw codes or what ) and does blocking these make my air pump removable? i'm sure i would figure most of it out as i go but just wanted some knowledge first

You should not be removing the air pump, or disabling most things related to the ACV on an S5 NA. You will cause the 6PI and VDI systems to stop working, which means a BIG loss of power up top.

you can't take the Omp off an s5,and simply slap on a Block off plate. .it will go into Limp Mode.
You can put a Block off plate on where the OMP was,but you have to keep the OMP connected to the Wiring.( hang the OMP off to the side and Tie it to something). That way the ECU will not go into limp mode and you can Premix Oil and Gas.
go to www.banzairacing.com and look at their Block off plates.it will show you what can be normally Blocked off.

ok so i had some time to read full service manual and for the acv it says that it sends air to 3 locations exhaust port, main converter, and relief air silencer.says nothing about it relating to my 6 pi or vdi. and the air pump just supplies air to the acv. i thought the vdi and 6pi ran off back pressure from the exhaust. and the bac supplies bypass air to dynamic chamber for the aws. I guess i can block the 3,but has anyone done or know if i can gain power from doing so?

The air pressure source for the 6PI and VDI is on the ACV itself. If you remove the ACV, you'll have to find a new way to supply air from the pump to the existing hardlines.
The BAC does function as part of the AWS, but it's primary role is to maintain idle stability under electrical and mechanical load. You shouldn't remove it.
Adding block off plates does not increase power. People just remove things if they have little use, or simply to clean up the bay.
