If "shitting" means posting factual info, then yeah I'm a *******...

As I've already told Ted several times, I'm not anti-efan, just anti-efan-BS. Maybe his memory ain't what it once was.

Do you want emotional support or technical support? I prefer the latter when asking advice on technical matters in a techncial forum like you did. I provide info so people can make informed decision based on facts, not myths and half-truths. FC forums are full of unsuccessful e-fan conversions done by people who didn't know any better. Do what you want to your car, but don't criticise people for providing info you don't like hearing.

...dosent anyone else here think a e fan looks alot better than the stock one...
As much as I like a clean and tidy engines bay, for me something that works well looks a lot better than something that doesn't. I think the stock fan looks fine. When it dies and I replace it with a e-fan (because it's cheaper), it'll look good because it'll be done right and work properly.

damn. this thread has gone crazy. NZConvertible, your really good help to me and many others, but 13bturbofc just wants to know ways to install the e-fan. I think thats what RETed is talking about shitting on this thread. I'm not picking sides or anything, but lets just have the people that has installed the black magic 180 xtreme e-fan help him. I am quite interested myself in the bm 180 xtreme e-fan. I do suggest getting a fluidyne, im pretty sure that will help. Thats what I am planning to do? and one question for you guys. How much amps can the FD alt. put out?

Does that apply to all the other posters as well? Coz hardly anybody else seems to have answered your question either...

All the info you need to install it are in the instructions that come with it, and you can download that from the Flex-a-lite website if you want to know before you buy it. If you want to know how well it'll fit, compare the dimensions in the instructions to the dimensions of your radiator. You'll most likely need to do a little custom work to mount it properly, just like any other e-fan. The wiring is very simple (battery, ground and motor (x2); and optional ignition, A/C and manual switch).

I've never even laid eyes on a BM 180 fan. How do I know all this? I looked it up just like I'm advising you to.

Damn gota wade thru all the BS just to comment !!!
I have the BM 180 and Koyo n-flow and am currently doing the same thing you are ... trying to decide how to install this fan .... do I modify the perfectly good (excellent) shroud with nice ruber weather strip? or do I modify this just to fit perfectly square over the radiator ??
I think while typing this, I decided what I am going to do ... I am going to mount it w/o modifying ... pull it with the costom mounts (will have to make them anyway) as tight as I can toward the necks and I should only be offset appx and inch or so and still cover 99% - 99.9% of the radiator.
At least, if I go this route and I don't like it ... I can always go back and modify ... whereas if I modify 1st then I cannot go back ...

read and do as you want ... but I really don't think the heat gun is very wise ...
will take a good bit of heat to melt that shroud ...

Good Luck and would be willing to share pics when we are done ... not as a challange, but just as info ... others may want to see the diff ...
