Thumbs down Biiiiiig electrical problems...

(88 GXL in case you dont know already)
So I cleaned my 6port actuators and put everything (supposedly) back together. When I tried to crank I would get spark and the injectors would not fire. I thought it was the fact there were air in the fuel lines when I replaced the ones going to the secondary fuel rail. So I had my father spray a little starter fluid into the TB while I turned it over to hopefully get the car running for a sec and force the fuel pump to provide pressure (I verified I had fuel pressure and that the fuel pump was working). So after a few tries of this, I decided cranking a car with open headers at 12am would wake some folks up.

I try the starter fluid deal the next day but then I lost spark (tach would not bounce) to leading and trailing coils. I did notice that a ground connected to the firewall (located right below where the VIN is etched into the body itself) was smoking (I did have a grounding issue before) so I connected a jumper cable from the - post on the battery to the block itself (acts as a big *** ground wire until I can find the problem). Now im pretty sure ive fried something, but the weird thing is no fuses are blown. Ive checked the engine fuse inside the cabin, and all of the fuses in the engine bay (at least the ones beside the EGI Comp and INJ fuses).

Now here are the suspect things in my engine bay.

*There are two vaccume nipples coming off of the tubes which connects the Dynamic chamber (the thing with 13B INJECTED stamped across it) to the LIM. These two nipples (there is a 3rd larger one but it is blocked off) dont have any vaccume lines going to them, and I dont see any floating around to connect them to. They do suck in air when I crank the car so something goes there im sure.

*I replaced two solenoid valves (I think thats what they are called) when I accidently snapped off their vaccume nipples. They are right next to the EGR valve and have orange and grey electrical plugs coming out of them. Im pretty sure I replaced the correct ones, but they all look interchangable to me.

*The AFM is not connected to the TB when I try to crank it (the first time I tried to crank it, it was connected). Its plugged in, just the air pipe thing is not connected to the TB. I did gently open the plate inside and sat a wrench in there to hold the plate open (I read somewhere on here it needs to be open in order for the fuel pump to run).

My relevant mods: FD Alt (load tested and was working before all this mess happend)

I could really use some help with this mess I got myself into. Im not all that great at reading electrical diagrams and finding stuff in my car. I guess some vaccume lines could be in the wrong places but I would assume id atleast hear the car attempt to start when turning it over. If the injectors were working I should have fuel spilling out of my exhaust by now.

The smoking of the ground at the back of the motor, suggests that you lost the main engine ground. This must be fixed before anything else.

A battery jumper cable may not have sufficent conductivity to allow starting. It would probably be fine once the car was running, but the start draws a lot, and clamps like that may not have sufficent contact.

The AFM must be installed and working correctly for the fuel pump to even turn on. there are also several VAC lines hooked up after the AFM, that if the intake is open to them, the car would not start or run.
