The only difference was that i autocrossed the other 2 and i dont race this one. Last trip i took i got 310 miles to the tank and it was 99% highway. But that was still with the stock exhaust that had a couple leaks. Where do you shift at?

If you do any amount of city and stop-n-go driving, you're not going to get over 20mpg.
Sorry, but that's the nature of the beast...

of course, that's with the a series engine...it might be different with a rotary, but i doubt it.

And yeah, my mostly-unmodified S5 NA gets 21.change on the freeway. That's with a straight pipe where the cats used to be, a dirty K&N filter, and a maximum limit of 3.5-4k RPM's when cruising and shifting. I just can't run the beast at less than 3K and even remotely feel good about it... so little power down there...

It would get 25mpg without even trying.
Get a little bit more conscious of your driving habits, and it'll shoot up to 30mpg.
Heavy freeway driving will reward you with 35mpg easy.
It's sick how good gas mileage those things get even with the stupidly close ratio transmission.
But then again, I gotta keep reminding myself it's only a 1.6 liter... :P
