best way to clean injectors?
What is the best way to clean my injectors at home, without having to ship them off and get them "professionally" done or buying new ones at the moment?

i flush them with gasoline. Nothing fancy but the small stainer in the inlet side has a lot of crap in it ussually, atleast mine did. I had a small sqiurt bittle with a real fine point on it that i could shoot a strong stream into it and flsh all the debris out. That and some work with a toothbrush or hte equivilant. but, I had mine flowed and everything, this is just something I do when i do the yearly rebuild.
it is a race engine....hence the rebuilds...just make sure it is good for another year.

Never tried it, but I suspect the best home method is to use an ultrasonic jewlery cleaner and some kind of powerful solvent like laquer thinner or acetone.
Failing that, you can soak the pintel in solvent while you pulse the injector with 12V.
Really though, there is no substitute for a proper cleaning. Most shops only take a day to get this done.
