Best oil for New England Winter?

What would you guys recommend be the best oil for the new england winters? Any recommendations what do some of you guys use?

The FAQ for FC has oil recommendations based on the average temp that the car is started and operated in.

in the owners manual there is also oil weight reccommendation from Mazda. You may look at that if you have one.

New England Winters are fairly mild based on having lived there for 18 years. I would recommend a 5w-40 oil such as Rotella T.

you can run a 10w30 from 30 right down to -25 degrees celcius. (so well below freezing.) i run castrol gtx 10w30 all year round and im in ontario canada

I run Castrol GTX 10W-30 in the winter, and 20W50 in the summer. I live in southern New York, practically NYC. That should give you an idea of the weather my car sees.
