Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
The draw back will be if you were using filters that have leaky (or don't have) anti drain back valves.
For example using a oversized Fram, with their leaky anti-drain back (90% of Frams in my testing allowed the oil to seep out), can cause a dry run for the first couple of minutes, because not only does the motor need to pump the oil around, but it must first fill up the oil filter before it can.
So too big of a filter that needs to be pressurized can result in the oil system taking longer to pump through the engine... causing increased wear everywhere in the engine.
But probably not as much of an issue if the filter has a good working anti drain back valve.

LOL, i meant 3000 miles. I change my oil every year reguardless, and usually my cars have right about 3000 miles at that point.
Though it IS rated for 30,000 miles when used with AMSoil (which i am also using), no way would i trust it that long though.
