The stock ignition system is very good. The only time ive heard of it going out was on SoulAssasins car. He made 620RWHP on the stock ignition. Only after him trying for more HP did they fail. Something to consider.

i got a crane HI-6 used for cheap. I dunno about HP increases, minimal if any, but i can vouch for better gas mileage. it's already paid for itself in gas savings.

Also, for some strange reason, my box failed well over a year after purchase. Called Crane Cams and gladly sent me a new box w/o even a concern of the old one!
