Actually.....
I thought about including the Infinity. But the thought behind this pole is for 2nd Gen's that could actually be had here in the US. In included the Japan and Europe only Turbo Vert ( 
)only because they CAN be had what with the popularity of the TII retro-fit (not to mention it's MY favorite).
So far, looks like the "put it in gear and go fast" junky's are winning this one.

You said you can't do an Infini swap? I have a friend doing that right now. Take S5 N/A GTU or even better GTUs and drop a tuned TurboII engine. Its possible. I'll be helping my friend with the project very soon.

hm i was not aware of those things. another question: are the body panels actually different? it looks like the molding is different. i like the molding of the S5's better than the thick black molding on the S4. i was thinking about trying to get an s5 front end, but the moldings wouldn't match up. can i switch the moldings out?

all we ever hear about s5's are the mouse belts, well guess what i really dont mind them. in fact i think they are better than regular belts b/c they keep me in my seat better when im cornering hard. as for s4 taillights being better...tahts a joke. s5's look better, drive better, and i get plenty of complements on it. my old s4 i never got any complements. the only item id put on my s5 from an s4 is the manual steering rack, other than that nothing.

replaceable vs. non-replaceable ball joints
Question:
I know the tranny mounts are different between S4 & S5, but still can be swapped by also swapping out the mounts that bolt directly to the tranny itself. I know, as I've done this. And it took no more effort as that the effort to pour milk on my corn flakes. And, worth doing as the S5 Tranny mount is much easier to work with afterward.
Can a similar thing be done so you can make the S5 Ball Joints replaceable. That is, has anybody been able to retro-fit S4 Ball Joints into a S5?

So, it can be done...
Swap out S4 Control Arms into the S5, and you have the best of both worlds.
Cool.
Also, cosmetics aside, there are subtle imporvements the S5 has over the S4. For instance, the S5 has a separate electric fan for the air conditioning that the S4 doesn't have. So, the S5 will run cooler in stop and go traffic on a hot day. And, we all know how much our Wankles don't like heat.
LSD.... the S4 with good clutch's are better than the S5. in that they grab quicker. But, for daily driving long term ownership, the S5 would have to be considered better.
Anyway, looking at the poll, I'm a bit disturbed that the S4 TII has passed up the Turbo Verts. Come on guys, I KNOW there are more Turbo Vert fans out there.

Series 5 T2. The S5's are much better looking that the S4's. Ive had multiple people (that dont know much about rx7's) ask if my car is a 94-95 because the styling on the S5's still looks somewhat modern. That wont happen in a S4 with the lame square tailights and, S4s look like they are from the 80's whereas S5's dont. (yes yes i know that some S5s are 90 and 91, but mine is 89 so still and 80s car)

GTUs! Mine is a little modified though....hehe
89 GTUs with Japspec 89 Turbo II engine, full 2.5 exhaust, Tenzo racing intake, Greddy Type R Blowoff valve...-1 air pump, -2 Cats,. Only problem this light NA flywheel is loose! I need a front-monted IC and a stronger clutch and new intake boot, it leaks air.....Running 5.5 psi at about 13.8...
