Bent oil pan...tips to make it straight?
Yeah, so I had a hell of time of getting the thing off. I guessing black RTV is more adhisive. Because when it had the red RTV it was easy getting off. In the process of getting the pan off I bent it.
When I put the pan back on the engine it rocks a little. Like it pivots on the center of the engine. It rocks so it touchs the front and then back of the engine. Probally about 1/8"
Not sure what to do or how to straighten the pan. That stupid piece sticking out wont let but it on the floor and beat the flanges. So how much bend is to much. I don't want this thing leaking. OPEC might bust me

You might just want to get a new pan. It'll be a bear to get that thing straightened out again and I'm sure that there is plenty of used oil pans out there that people will be glad to sell for cheap.

LOL, now that is funny stuff amemiya!
So I put the pan on a cast iron stove and got a small piece of wood and a hammer. Bang Bang Bang. It was somewhat better. It barley rocked on the engine. I guess the acid test is in 50,000 miles. Cause that bitch aint coming off!
