you're welcome. I'm just surprised taht you can get such a nice cut while turning both wheels at the same time. Kudo's to you sir, that's assuming that that's how you are doing it. Anywho, good job on the build and goodluck.

Well here is a IBP engine I hope you like my work and I showed everyone I am good and I do good work. Unfortunetly this will probably be my last post or one of my last posts I may check on this thread again. Sorry I lacked on the inspection pics at the end and the final inspecting in all at that. I just did not have the time to do that when I am the only one working on this.
I am not going to persu doing this anymore. I may if your lucky and EMAIL me and want a motor do one for you when I have time and do not expect something faster there probably 3 week turn around. I do not feel this in my heart anymore and I feel God is going to do something different with me and I am to do something else in my life. So I will not continue to do this so actively and awaite his word to show me where I am to be and what I am to be doing. Thank you all I have learned allot in the years. I will use my facility's and knowledge for my own personal stuff as a hobby in free time. For the RHD car you will just have to wait for the magazines to see that one.

Haven't we ALL heard this
Sorry to hear that man...great thread you started. Maybe one day you can finish it up. Afterall, you said you would pursue this as a hobby. And that is what most of us do...as a hobby and post up about it when we are doing it
Anyways, good luck with the new pursuits.

What I left out was I will get as close as I can umm checking lobe clearance to bearing checking iron flatness running clearance most of the rotor dry fitment specking end play and front assembly "but this is other places on the net also" and tq specs some I do not want to release some are same as FSM and a few things I did during the motor I didn't plan on releasing.
MPLSrx7 - If you have experience with this type of stuff you research and study the videos and really take your time then yes it is not hard.

I am finishing up a complete rebuild documentary, much more in depth and step-by-step oriented, based on the way that I rebuild (read: other builders may or may not agree or approve, I could give a rat's *** whether they do). When I get time to post it (it will be several pages and hundreds of pics long) I think it'll keep everyone busy for a while.

Like I said each person and builder has there own criteria, ways, and ideas on how to do stuff. It dosn't make another one wrong or right just makes it different.

Aaron...I wanted to ask you. I have my writeup written in "notepad". the writeup itself is several pages/posts long. It is divided into sections. I want to be able to post in it's entirety without dumbasses posting "OMGWTFBBQ great writeup so far, where is the rest" right in the middle. IS there any way this can be made to happen...I be given a closed/hidden thread temporarily until everything is posted and appears the way I want, then it can be opened to comments and questions?
it will take several hours to post the information, because I will have to upload each pic to the forum and then [img] tag it.

Without going too far off topic, here's what we can do...
We can arrange a time where we are both online and you can begin to post the topic. As you post it, I'll keep an eye out and delete all posts that aren't yours. Then as soon as it's done I'll close the thread, copy it to the Archives and then re-open the original thread. Then people can comment as much as they want.

Again people don't know what there talking about. My first engine build, so sorry for messing up since I am the only one that has every messed up a rotary engine build. He decided to help me out and do an outstanding job for next to nothing and gets ragged on by dumbasses that think they know everything.

You know man I did this build for Houstonderk because he is a great dude all around and many years after we have been able to keep a great relationship. Speaking of that I have been able to keep a awesome relationship with every single one of my customers over the years. I didn't make this thread for asshats to bash thinking they know wtf they are talking about. I build it for kids and new people who are willing to learn to have a grasping understanding of what they should be looking at and for other builders to disuse there input experience and suggestions into the thread. I relies not every builder has the same opinions but thats is for the reader to determen what they feel is best suited for them.
People make mistakes they over look little details not because they did not want to know but because they have not seen the issue arise they were not informed of the variables its not a problem it is only a cause for a solution. This is others position that have retained this peace of information to step up and help others it does not mean the previous builder was a dumbass it only means they missed a section of information they needed they where uninformed about. I am more then confident Derek could have done the same job I accomplished with the same prior training and experience and I believe over the years he has done this. Whoopy I was fortunet to grow up in a household of nationally recognized engine builders over the years and applied this and yet I still make mistakes and I still learn. But don't bash on another for something they missed, guide them and suggest your knowledge.
I have come to know some of the people like Derek on a personal level and basing upon them is nothing more then a proven carector flaw upon yourself. They have proven to be outstanding individuals and none of us could ask anything else out of a person then that.

Good job ice!
Listen, don't let the E-Peen bastards get you down, their opinion's are just that, opinion. We all know how that saying goes, "Opinion's are like ********, everyone has one and thinks their's is the best..."
Thank you for making this thread, it was informative, helpful and pretty well illustrated. Myself, I am a Diesel mechanic, working towards becoming a Mechanical Engineer. I am currently tearing down my first rotary motor. For the most part I have a real good grip on what I am doing, however, EXPERIENCE COUNTS. So it is very nice to see some experienced people sharing some hard earned KNOWLEDGE and tips. I know I personally found a few of your picutres VERY helpful!
Kudos to you sir!!!!
Now, I just got to wrap my head around the concept that I am tearing down and rebuilding an engine that is smaller than the Turbo on the engines I used to work on.. (Picture included) EMD 16 Cyl Turbo Diesel Engine...
For demonstrative purposes... (Thats an 8ft. tall chain link fence in the background... I worked on large offshore vessels in the oil field)
