BASELINE DYNO RUN this WEEKEND
If all goes well Saturday I will get some Baseline numbers on the following Set-up:
NEW Pineapple Engine
Stock ECU
Stock Intake
Deleted Rats nest
Pineapple Sleeves
Stock , with gutted cats, exhaust
After we obtain those numbers the Microtech LTX-8 will be installed and tuned, then in the future a return visit to the SAME dyno will occur.
After that, the RB Road RAce Header and UBER NICE Collector and exhaust will be tested.
I hope this Staged testing of mods will give me a better idea of the mods potentials.
Stay tuned!!!

Pineapple Stage II
9.5lb RB flywheel
Stock ECU
Stock Exhaust, gutted cats
TB modded by removing plates
No Emissions
Evans NPG+
Pineapple Sleeves
Cleaned and Tested Fuel Injectors (by Marren Fuel Inj)
108 HP/107 Ft-lb torque.....
It appears that the 6 ports are not opening/operating properly. Think is a DOG to REV.
Another Problem is the 3.9 Non-LSD rear-end.
Will troubleshoot the 6-ports sunday. Since I am installing the LTX-8 soon I will go ahead and wire the RPM switch up with an Electric Airpump to actuate the 6-ports. Updates to follow. A very frustrated Banzai

The 6 ports weren't opening today. So I ran around with them wired open. Unfortunately, it will not idle with the AC on and the ports open. Stopped by the parts house and picked up a air horn compressor. Will install that with a MSD RPM switch to Activate a solenoid to control flow.

Yo,
Banzai, I feel you man. It was the same when I dyno'ed for the first time. 140?! What?!
Surely there must be some mistake...
Nope.
Oh well, I'll have to re-dyno with all my new shizzattie on there.
Good luck and fingers crossed for next time!

I'm gonna avoid the sleeves in my rebuild. Engine builder is going to insert piece of teflon into aux. port all the way to end of it. Will then port the transition smooth into the chamber. Port match the lower intake and eventually we'll dyno it. He's about ready to set up a website and start selling engines on a larger scale. My car will be the example of what he can do with a 6-port engine.

Ive seen 118rwhp and 116rw tq on a completely stock s4 N/A 5-speed. You really need to get those ports working.. and the 3.9 probably isnt helping the tq numbers. Are you still using an auto (confused about what you said about using miata gears, but still a 4-speed?)

nope 5 Speed miata geared S5 manual tranny. Changing the rear-end and 4 lug suspension out tonight.
6 ports: Right now I am running around with them wired open, not really pleased with that option. I am waiting on RPM modules for the MSD switch to get here.
Dyno run again in 2 weeks, I have to drive 3 hours to get to the dyno.

Not really sure on what I expect; I would be satisfied with 160 at the rear wheels. That is a stretch though on the stock ECU. I will have a wideband testport in the exhaust so I can extract some usable data. I may just say to hell with testing on the stock ECU and go ahead and install the Microtech.

NO! I really want to see how much of a gain with just switching over to a microtech..

120 and hour, plus 3 hours each way...
I want to do a COMPREHENSIVE set of tests
Series one:
1. Max Stock ECU/semi-stock exhaust with stock intake & working six ports
2. A run with the 6 ports shut
3. A run with the 6 ports wired open
4. Remove Stock intake box and install Cone Filter.
Series II:
1. RB Road Race Header and "Banzai" Collector
2. RB Road Race Header and Burns Custom Collector
3. SDJ Motorsports header
Series II will be the Microtech Install and tuning runs
