Balancing Engine

Hey,
I was thinking about getting my rotating assembly balanced. Is there a noticable power gain from an N/A at 10,000rpm? Would I need to port the engine to realize the full potential of an engine at those speeds? What about reliability? Thanks.

unless you run higher compression rotors, at least a bridge-port, and a small bit of NOS....nothing noticeable...you will at the very least decrease the amount of load on the bearings

IIRC the stock ignition is decent up to about 9k. As also said, You'd probably need a nice brisge to get any benifit out of it spinning that fast.

What if I replaplaced ported my 6th ports, went to larger sleeves... would that substitute? I don't want to screw my idle/low end torque. Thanks.

no you ricer
do you know how an engine works?
you should research on that before you want to spin it to 10k
from ecu to transmission, exhauts, everything needs to be changed.

intake ports and intake manifolds run out of power around 6500-7000 rpm so to see 10000 you would need custom intake manifolds as well.

Stock Flywheel is only good to around 8500-9000 rpm

Volumetric efficiency on a stock-port n/a rotary peaks at around 6500 rpm. Think about this fact real hard.

10k rpm your looking at a P-port, and and a nice intake setup. Basically unless your in a race situation only, forget it, or have been dealing with rotaries for some extended period of time. It would be pointless for you to have your engine balanced that much for a daily driver, or even most race applications.
