bad tranny problems

tranny questions
ok i have a big problem. 1st off my shifter is loose i think im missing the bushing . Also i have no lubrication in that area i need to know the correct lube to use. Also i have bad vibration through the whole car its really bad. if im accelerating or not it vibates and it comes from the tranny area. Every time i hit the gas i hear a clank noise fronmt at same area. and every time i shift gears. its getting really bad i think i need a new tranny. If anybody can help with this situation it would really be appreciated. its an 87 na

bad tranny problems
ok i have an 87 na 5 speed. OK im having numerous problems. 1st i have bad vibration comeing from the tranny area. I mean its so bad i think the tranny is going to drop. It vibrates when im accelerating or just cruisng. Also i think im missing a bushing set where the shifter is at. And i have no kind of lubrication where the shifter sits. Every time i shift or hit the gas i hear a clank noise coming from the tranny area. I need help with this matter asap. PLease help.

tranny problems
i have an 87 na. im having some major issues with the tranny. ok first off the car vibrates raelly bad when i m accelerating or just crusing also tjhe shifter itself is really loose and there is no lubrication in the shifter area. every time i shift or hit the gas i hear a clanking noise like to pieces of metal hitting each other. i need help with this immediatley.

If you vibrate at idle it idoes not rule out a bad u-joint. Your motor and/or tranny mounts may be bad.
What I see a lot of is 2nd gens with lots of worn out components. Even some of the cars that look pretty decent have a slew of issues when you get them on a lift.
Bottom line is look for more than one problem.

My vibration and clanking was due to bad u-joints so I swapped in a new driveshaft. But I had also suspected bad differential mounts.
As for shifting bushings, check Mazdatrix.
