Is this bad? pic
I got my Mazdatriz strut tower brace installed and i went to put on the torque brace on the air pump bracket and I had enough trouble to get the top two hole to align, and I cant get the bottom one in align at all. Really I don’t have the right something to pry the bottom hole in line, if I had more time and didn’t fell like such crap I would go out and do some thing about it.
_ So the final question is it all right to leave the air pump only bolted up with two bolts for now?
as you can see in pic

Thanks, i like it pretty well too, and the stock box neck is functional too.
Well actually the mechanic i had put on my cat back happen to have some material (actually flashing for a roof i think) and i said to just make something that isolates, uses the bolt hole for easy removal, and has a hole so the scoop still works, and so he did. It works really well as far as i can tell, it even bolts into the mounting bracket bolt holes for the stock box air filter. Truthfully I can’t tell you how to actually make on but i can get some pics up so you can get a better idea. Scene it is pretty flexible it is quite easy to through one up if you have the stuff and time (witch i don’t have either) witch is why i had my mechanic do it. He isn’t just some grunt worker, that is actually his own business he started, he has drag raced for a long time so he if pretty good with that stuff.
ill post up a pic layout of the whole thing sometime soon, unless you all think I should make a separate thread so it will help out others. And ill double check on that material

Your mechanic just pwned the rx7club as I think that is the cleanest air box I have ever seen. You know you just opened up Pandoras box on the forum with that photo, there will be many who want one if it catches wind on the forum, and I might just help it along

I'd buy one too! It's a genius idea that' i'd never thought of! most people who do cone intakes talk about fishing it down under the fender or like-wise. That box would be far less work, and still supplies cold air to the filter. The white material compliments your white paint too, it's beautiful. I've got a white s4, and i'd definitely put that under my hood.
