I had to pay a restocking fee of over $100 when I sent the rebuild kit back. Overall the whole rebuilding experience that was a big waste of money and left my car in more pieces and my wallet with less money. If I had it to do again, I would get a rebuilt motor that I didn't have to take apart.
I would have used that 100 bux to pull a core engine from pick and pull or buy a used rotor from someone, and your good to go. Also you should have checked for damage to the rotor(rotors with seal bits embeded in them wont really work anyhow)/sourced replacments before you ordered the kit. Just because you had a bad experience rebuilding a motor doesnet mean its a waste of time for everyone.

wonder if i broke a side seal or corner seal or somethin.... wut u guys think?
Alot of times they will crack or chip out at the edges, after you break the motor down and clean and inspect everything give us a damage report. Be sure to keep track of the grooves /holes each seal came out of, they need to go back into the same slot/hole they came out of if your going to reuse them. Take extra care documenting the side, corner, and oil seals as these youprobably will be reusing. It also might be a good time to order the vid, its got some tips for keeping things sorted.

Just though of something, a cracked corner seal might cause what your describing as well, in which case you might get away with just replacing one seal....... My money is still on an apex seal with a corner chipped off though.

finally got the flywheel off and continued to dismantal the motor!

found the problem, it looks as if ,judging by it was missing the corner seal spring, that it broke apart, flew out scaring the side of the rotor, jamming the side seal and corner seal down, then exited the engine, rotor appears resuable tho, apex seals look fine.

the housing looked pretty worn down near the edges however but i was getting 95 compression on it, so i think it might be reusable for a temp solution.

but now for the real bad!!

looking at the rear rotor bearings they look a goldish coulor!!!!! and i found a little bit of flakings in the oil pan!!! the eshaft looks fine cept for about a 1/4" wide section that goes for about an inch is goldish coulour. also how hard is it to install new bearings???

didnt get a chance to pull the front rotor out yet since i couldnt get the front eshaft bolt off with the crapy air gun i had today, tommarow i will bring the good air gun from work. the front rotor had good compression still tho
