Bad apex seal?

Missing at idle. And when i apply more than 50% throttle under boost the engine feels like it stumbles or misfires for a split second then keeps going. Oh and it's an 1988 TurboII

mine does this to. i ran compression check on it and found it above normal 105psi at all sides. compression is usualy not the issue. all turbo rx7 have what is called a surge problem at 50% throttel or more. check your grounds from the motor and the ECU

Thanks for the info. But would bad grounds make it misfire at idle?
