It will be for sale soon...it smokes badly when cold (turbo oil seals). The whining is from where the previous owner of the engine this turbo was removed from let something hit the compressor wheel blades...it stil boosts great, but it whines worse than a diesel.

the whine sounds cool -- unlike my tranny whining when the clutch is depressed. so pretty much always.
"oh ****! i'm glad you don't drink or do drugs!"

if by impaired you mean turned his manhood into a frightened little turtle -- then yes, impaired.
what kind of turbo is on the car now? seemed to boost and hit redline rather quickly, but that's coming from someone who's never driven or owned a turbo vehicle.

by impaired, I mean...under the influence. OF what, we won't say

It is a stock s4 turbo. The car runs a big SP, high compression (helps it spool quickly...to quick in fact on the highway it stays in boost) hybrid engine, cone, TID, full RB 3" exhaust, and knightsport ecu.

Soon I will sport a greddy FMIC, 4x720cc injectors, a t04E and divided manifold, and probably a microtech.

not to mention a 4.33 rear. do you know what rpm your max boost hits (and what is your max boost)?

btw -- i'm just up late and not tired so i'm making forum conversation. i wouldn't mind being a little impaired (your definition, not mine) right about now, might help me sleep.

The 433 doesnt make a lot of difference, really.

Boost comes on about 3000rpm, and max boost by about 4500-5000...at WOT, it behaves similar to a regular t2. ON the road, trying to maintain speed at say 80mph+, it wants to be much closer to boost then a regular t2...most t2's would be at -10 or -8 vacuum, however, my car wants to stay at -2 or even go into 1-2psi of boost out on the road. Needless to say this hurts gas mileage and gets on your nerves...I am going with a different setup partially because of this, and the crap *** stock wastegate.

Yeah, it's 5 here. This was at about 10 tonight, though.

Prior to this, another of his buds had went on a 20 minute trip with me, just like that, the whole way. Wish like hell I'd have had him videotape *that*.
