are BAC valves the same for t2's?

No. But you probably could make one for a turbo fit a n/a. See the attached turboii bac. Compare it with your n/a. The n/a does not have the small approx 3/16 hole near the large hole (the one where you can see the variable valve.) Also the intake pipe is rotated 180 degrees and the electrical connector is rotated approx 60 degrees from the n/a. Both of which could be overcome.
You'd have to block off the small 3/16 hole if you were to put the turboii bac on the n/a. The bolt pattern is the same for both bacs.
The above is just for 86/87 models. Can't vouch for later models.

OOOps! Forgot the jpg. Also I think you would need a different shape for the blockoff plate. Make one yourself. Hacksaw and a drill and a piece of metal.
Or, just JB Weld a quarter over the hole left in the dynamic chamber. Theres no pressure to blow it off. half humor.

am i wrong or is that the same as an n/a? i just made the block off plate for my n/a and if that pic is correct and is a t2 the n/a has the same lil dip and/or hole right next to the big hole in the middle.

Its not the same as a n/a. I covered my **** on this subject when I said I was only talking about 86-88. That is a 87 turboii bac in the picture. The small hole is a air passage controlled by the adjustment screw found on a turbo. A 86-88 na does not have that screw or hole. If I offer up the bac in the picture to a 86-88 n/a, the little hole sits out in open air. Not matched up to any hole in the dynamic chamber.
Also look at the air pipe and the direction its pointing. Its nineth degrees from a n/a.
So your saying that there is a hole on your dynamic chamber that matches the small hole in the bac valve in the picture? And the air feed pipe on your car is not 90 degrees out from the one in the jpg?
The picture in the Mazdatrix online catalog is the one that looks like the bac on my n/a.
I understand the bac's from 89 and up are different from the 86-88.

'89 and up are different. They have some different passages and a different connector. I'm not sure if they would work on an 86-88 motor, or vice versa. Right now I have the 86-88 TII BAC on an '89 motor, so I know it fits, but I haven't been able to solve my idle problems yet, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it (of course I haven't really checked to even see if the BAC is working yet).
If you really need one, I could go and take a picture of the '89 for you. Just PM me and let me know if you want me to do it.

You could use the turbo one on a na. You'd have to plug the small hole on the bac and then turn the feed pipe ninty degrees to fit the n/a. Work just alike. The small hole on the bac is for the adjustment screw. Used to adjust the idle. Not a feature on a 86-88 because there is no tiny hole in the dynamic chamber.
