BAC same as BOV?

well is it the same thing. When i bought my car the BAC was capped on both sides. Is the BOV connected to the ic pipe or what? I am also trying to do the tid mod but i am having probs with "which hoses can be capped and wich hoses must be plummed into the intake". Does any one have pics (looking for good close ups and lables)

Thanks

No, they are two totally different items. The blow-off valve (BOV) vents boost pressure when you lift off the throttle, and is plumbed between the turbo’s outlet and inlet. The Bypass Air Control (BAC) valve lets extra air into the intake manifold, increasing idle speed to compensate for loads like the A/C, and is bolted to the side if the upper intake manifold.
Go to www.fc3s.org and download the EFI chapter of the Factory Service Manual for your car. It has very clear diagrams locating and identifying all these components.

CBV (Compressor Bypass Valve) = BOV which vents back to the compressor.
