Average Strut Life Expectancy
Hey Everyone,
Just wondering what the typical life expectancy was for struts on these 2nd gens. If you have had them replaced, let me know how many miles you got on them, and what brand they were if they weren't OEM struts.
Thanks

80,000 if they are stock and you don't live in pennsylvania. If in PA then 20,000. If you drive like a mad man milage will decrease; if you drive like an old granny, then milage will increase. I replaced mine at 70,000 and they still had some good life left in em.

Damn.. struts are expensive...
I have the AAS.. and they are somethng like $300 CDN each!! (With labour)
Thats over 1000 for all 4...but I'd be doing it myself now...
What are good (economical) alternatives? (That WON'T make my car ride like a brick with steel wheels!)

Deffinitely do not let some drunk idiot put on your struts. It's the easiest car ever made to change struts. A set of tokico non adjustables can be had for around $400 and keep a decent ride with inhanced handling. I found a good deal on them somewhere; let me look.
