Auxillary intake actuatiors 1986 stock 13b

I have one of the aux.intake actuators stuck on my 1986 6 port 13b one is working the other isnt will the car run without these on the engine? can i remove them and leave the ports open and cover the openings ?

Yes you can remove the actuators and the car will still run. The downside is that it will run funny over 4k rpms as the ports are not opening as they should. You can take the actuators off and wire the ports open, but you will lose some low end torque below 4k rpms.

My suggestion is to take both actuators off, clean them, lube them, and reinstall with new actuator gaskets ($2 new from mazda). I drove mine with the ports open for a few months and swapped it back after driving a friends with working ports.

Make sure it's not the actual port that is stuck as well. That could be the reason the actuator is not moving.
