Aux port opening signal
#1
Is there a signal from the ECU to open the 5th & 6th ports? If so which one. I've looked through the FSM and was thinking about the Port Air Solenoid or maybe the Split-Air Solenoid. Which one is activated under what conditions or where can I find the ECU process diagram.
I'm wanting to use the ECU to open my ports with a vacuum solenoid at the appropriate time - 3800 RPM or so. I've removed my ACV, Air pump, Vacuum Rack, Emissions, Split-air pipe, cats. I have a back-pressure pipe from my RB Header connected to the actuators but am looking to change out to a constant pressure & solenoid setup. If I can find a switched signal I can avoid having to purchase an RPM switch.

Sorry for the bump... anybody know what triggers the Port Air solenoid circuit? & at what rpm's or conditions? I saw a 5th gear lockout but no specific RPM. I also saw the exhaust temp cut-out and some other inputs to the emissions controller. Are you guys gonna leave me in the dark... Well I ordered the parts I needed anyway so I'll figure it out for myself as usual.

JeeWhiz Aaron... no help? I figured you might be the one to either help or at least comment. I think this is a relevant topic. Am I wrong? Who Cares? WTF? You took the time to merge the threads, but no comment or help? Screw it - I'll do it the hard way then. Way To Go Mr. Moderator. I'm gonna give you the #1 salute for all your hard work.
