the very best way is to buy from NAPA (I am not a fan of napa however...) a spot weld driller and simply drill out the spot welds on your brackets and the brackets from the donor car. You will then weld the brackets from the donor car to your car and you may want to fill the holes that you left behind from removing the spot welds on the auto brackets. to do this you will need to lift the carpeting up (may require help) to keep it from burning the carpet.
You will need to mach up the trans with the crossmember on it to get an accurate placement of the "new" brackets.
If you try to fab up adapter brackets you may get a vibration (I did).

If you are refering to the pedal assembly it just bolts in, on the 87 automatic i had Mazda just blocked off the viod where the clutch master cylander was with a plate and two bolts. I parted that one out and never swaped it over but keped the pedal assembly out of it. Here are pictures of the manual setup that was going in to it

Again I advise against adapter brackets. you could get a drill bit but that would leave rather large holes in the floor of your car. the spot weld driller leaves 1/8" holes and costs like $25 here is a link.

you could have any welding shop weld them in just bolt everything up and have it towed in to a shop.

hey thanks TINVESTER. prolly gonna do that. ill keep thinking about what im going to do. i would take it to a welding shop but i dont know where exactly they would have to go. thats why im debating the RX7world solution. i would save a lot of money by getting the brackets myself and taking them to their shop to have them just weld them on for me. then drive my car to my friends house and get to work. thanks tho. ill have to drop by the old napa. later.

that is part of the problem there are no "REAL" electronics store around here. I cant even find a place to fix my TV everyone is "house call" types I remember the days when the cool asian guy down the street had a shop but I guess those days are gone.
Going to radio shack for electronics is like going to Home Depot for hardware.
