Auto-->5spd swap: Pedal Assemblies, wiring and what not.
So... I'm in the middle of the auto-5spd swap. taking my sweet *** time on it. Just rehased everything in the engine bay, new wires, plugs, hoses, gaskets, ect.
Anyhwo, Swapped out the old pedal assembly with the 5spd/clutch assembly.
The 5spd has a few more harnesses. (obviously) for a clutch switch. My original brake pedal had 1 harness/connection. However the 5spd brake pedal switch has two conectors. I talked to project84, and he said it may have been from cruise control. makes sense. But... the original female connector seem slightly different sized then either of the two male connections on the brake pedal. It does go on, but the clip doesn't clip into place, and it doesn't feel like its properly connected.
Also there are a few extra harnesses that I can't find a home for now under the dash. I didn't think I pulled them off of anything when removing the old assemby, but its pretty obvious that I did. I had to remove the steering column, so I believe this is where most of them go.
A few of the harnesses have frayed wires about 3" back after the harneses. I'm not too excited about rewiring 20+ wires under the dash. Augh.
Any comments?
