I would say their own, since they make their own 2mm seals.

I was told that KD used those 3mm seals in their motors untill the motors started going bad and now they don't use them any more. This scared me alittle because my car has a ported 13b with 3mm seals, from atkins and I don't know what type of seals they use.

I would imagine that atkins rotary would use atkins seals...

....just like hypntyz 7 said....

...you could always call them...

I found on their website their own 3mm seals so Im sure they use those. At this point it doesnt really matter for you anyway, since you already have the engine, yes? BTW hurley seals are very good as well.

And if it had hurley seals what would you do? Drive it till it died or would you run down and have them immediately swapped out with seals you trust?

Yea i think we all know the anwser to that question.

Not to mention that IF Hurley did suck then those seals would NOT be in a Atkins motor.

The stock 2 mm seals are the best.

You are right I wouldn't do anything about it I just wanted to know.
My friend when up to KDR and they told him that the hurley 3mm seals were no good. I beleive them since they have more experience than me and for that matter most of you when I comes to internals. But if by some chance one of you has more experience then can you give me proof that the hurley 3mm seals aren't bad.

The truth is the ONLY valid reason to use a 3mm seal is to to reuse an otherwise good rotor that the seal groves are worn too much to use 2mm seals - 2mm seals seal better and produce less friction drag than 3mm seals.

Atkins makes all there own apex seals - I Doubt the ever put any other apex seals in one of their motors unless specifically requested by the client.
