Which ATF to use for the ATF Trick?
Does it matter which ATF I use?

Type F, Mercon V, ATF +3, Synthetic

When I did it I used Dex III. I guess it worked. I really didn't notice a difference but it didn't kill my car!

Isn't synthetic ATF bad for rotaries?

all new synthetic oils are fine for the rotary it was all the old style synthetic oils that gave synthetic a bad name in rotarys..

P.S. I don't think the brand of ATF really matters. I would use the cheap ****.

I got the big Gallon of Advance Auto Parts ATF Dextron III $3.96 . Makes great powersteering fluid when your car leaked a gallon of it a week before I replaced the PS rack.

doesn't mmo work for the atf treatment and its non currosive <---crapy speller.
