ATF with results (long)

Day 1
Just got the car. Really will not start but will pull start. Then car starts now. Drive the car up and down the road will WOT and have to redline just to start to go.

Day 2
Put one liter of water in the intake manifold and let it smoke it all a little bit. Ran a little better just some power. Had to ran it up to 6500 rpm just to go. Then....

Day 4
Compression check in the low hundreds for all three cambers on rotor one. Rotor two 0, not 1,2 but 0

Day 5
More and more then harder i drive it gets a little better. Oil change Castrol GTX 10- W40

Day 7
A little bit a ATF not to much don't have the money for new plugs. LIttle bit of smoke not to much. Ran so more water throu the intake manifold. Ran alot better then day 1 but still not as fast as the stock 87 se should be. Friend making fun of the 7 so put it on the G-Tech Pro and it got a 18.0 on a great flat nice street road.

Day 9
Got new plugs. Almost one bottle of cheap ATF in the leading and trailing plugs. Waited over night but still only 16 hours. Damm did that one smoke up the next 8 house because the wind was blowing and the it was smoking really bad. The First redline at the house it went up really fast like stock. Still smoking not alot but still can see little bit a white smoke coming out at 25 mph. Stop sign more redlining setting there. go to 5 mile road to the next town at 5000 rpm no more smoke in the mirrors. The hottest day of the year in Missouri like car almost over heated like right under the normal guage. put in new plugs. Drained the raditor Refilled with new fluids. Went 2-3 miles to work still got hot. 11:00 pm central Got out of work and went home the guage was right in the middle. still need to do a compression check to see if any thing has gotten better.

Qautions
1. Try AtF with MMO and really wait 24 to like 48 hours and see what happens.

Ran like a 16.9 on the G-Tech pro tonight.

It's pretty easy to gain a full second in the quarter mile with some basic "Stage Zero" performance mods.

I have got to try this ATF trick once I get the cats out of my car. As it is, they are clogged to almighty.

Do the compresson check and see if anything got better. Many disagree with the atf/mmo trick becasue of long term issues. Do a search and you will find a few heated threads on the topic.

If you still have one dead rotor, you might want to start saving for a rebuild. Runing one one rotor can damage other components such as your cats. If your dumping fuel (unignited) into the exhaust your cats will get wipped out. If the cats get red hot while its running your only destroying them by continuing to drive the car. Also, all of the unburnt atf/mmo ends up in the cats and helps to plug them up.

yes the cats do get red hot after driving it sometimes. i know and i am saving for a rebuild but the engine that i have now i am just trying to make it better. i don't have any days off until this saturday but i don't know if i can get around to doing the compression check i am trying too. on 7 dollars an hour it will take me a month or two to get the money i still have to pay pops for the car. i will keep you updated once something else changes.

Just be careful, I would hate to see you do more damage and run the cost of the rebuild up. What part of Mo are you in, maybe someone here can help with the diagnosis.
