How much does the brace help against a twisting block?

Heres what you need for a leak proof FC oil pan. Its a very nice piece.

I've never had problems with my oil pan leaking, I use Hylomar on both sides of the mazda gasket.

The cast aluminum pans are good if you only drive your car on the track, unfortunately they are too brittle from common road debris, this is hardly leak-proof.

This just about the worst combination you can use. The hylomar is non-hardening and the factory gasket has a tendency to blow out. If you are going to use a gasket or not at least use Permatex RTV ultra grey, ultra black etc, hylomar is for internal coolant seals not external gaskets.

We have sold dozens of the FC braces and have not had a single complaint on fitment or the pan leaking. Different versions of the FD brace have been around for years, we run them on nearly every engine we build , there are not any leaks with these extremely leak prone pans either.

^^^ Please fix your website logo, the orbit and rotation of the wankel are opposite of each other instead of complimentary. It gives me a headache everytime I stare at it too long

That is what you get when you have someone in the GM Animation Dept make a clip for you. Not much that can be done about it now. Stop staring at it for so long?

I disagree, I use hylomar on every seal/gasket in/on the 13b, every motor I've built is leak free.

You can disagree all you want, you will still be wrong. Read page 1-68 of the FSM for installation of the oil pan with or without gasket.

It calls for a silicone based sealant
