Anyone own a dynomax exhaust?
I'd just like to know your experience with a dynomax catback exhaust. Anyone have any suggestions/opinions/comments? The application is an 87 N/A. Are these good systems? Do they have a good rumble, or sound like a friggin lawnmower? Does it look stock? Good performance increase? Anyone have pics?
Any info on the dynomax catback will do
Thanks
-Ross

I have seen one FC with dynomax catback. Sounded pretty decent, RB sounds much better. The 4" exhaust tips didn't look stock though. I much prefer Racing Beat, but that is just me.

Crap. I didn't think it was N1 style. I thought that it looked OEM. Regardless, i want to stay with dual. I just didn't want to exceed a 3" tip.
Keep em coming

The dynomax exhaust looks stock and has 2 1/2" stainless tips on it. I personally think they sound nice and I have installed and heard at least 20 of these over the last 5-6 years.

Dynomax makes several round cans. You can get them in a variety of pipe sizes. You can also weld in any size tips you desire

still waiting for the resources to afford the new single exhaust.

I have that exhaust ...doesn't last long....It is really loud now. I had the Full RB system on my old T2. It never got that loud.
Go with the RB. The muffler packing is MUCH better. The old the Dynomax get, the louder it gets.......but, for the price, you cant beat it! It did increase top end power thou on my vert.
Good luck....

My friend race a 2nd gen in ITS, he has a dual header, no silencer\cat, and a dual collector to a single Dynomax SuperFlow. Its is loud but not that loud, in fact the Hondas without cat. are louder!

Well i'm completely out of luck. Canadian Tire tried to order the dynomax catback specifically built for my fc... however, dynomax discontinued the line, and keystone has called every one of their suppliers, none of which can get it. I guess i now have no choice but to get a custom exhaust built Now i found someone to do it, however, what kind of mufflers should i get? I WANT TO KEEP THE STOCK LOOK!! WHich means, i dont want to change the tip to anything larger than 3"... and I'd like to keep the dual system.
Thanks for all the advice

The part number you are looking for is 17440. I believe Summit racing should have them. I have three in stock at my shop but we only sell locally not through the mail or internet. We purchase them through Arrowspeed Warehouse. Last time I ordered which was about a month ago they had 18 in stock in the Kansas City warehouse. I don't believe Dynomax discontinued the line as my sales rep there is also my best friend and would have told me. Here are the numbers to Dynomax if you want to call them.

The only Dynomax Cat Back systems for the FC that I've seen use Dynomax Turbo mufflers. Are these the mufflers that the Rotary Performance system uses? I've been trying to decide whether to by the RP system(I live in Dallas, so it's very close) or go with a custom system with 2 Dynomax Ultraflow mufflers. Anyone know if RP uses Turbo or Ultraflow?
