Yes, the unit is probably 2 inches thick. it's not bulky or anything. i'll be working on trying to finish it up today.

get rid of the automatic seatbelts is step one before you go cutting up your dash or removing you vents. Thats just common sense

Wrong. In the case of a coolant, oil or brake line failing, or if the alternator stops charging, or if the fan belt breaks, the warning light is going to be the first thing to indicate a problem, before any damage is done or you end up stranded somewhere. Whoever came up with the name "idiot lights" was an idiot.
