I was thinking about going to an exhaust shop....and have them weld a 2.5" race pipe from the manifold to stock ypipe...even though my dad already bought me a pipe...but what size should I have him make the flanges, or should I just buy some from MAZDATRIX?

 

just drive it on down to the local shop that custom bends pipe. mandrel bent would be the best. but crush bend is pretty much what youll find everywhere else. just unbolt ur stock exhaust from the manifold. and the shop should have flanges that they can start up an exhaust w/.

they bolt it up to the manifold, and then stick the lenght of pipe under ur car, and mark where to make the bends, and eye ball it on how BIG of a bend to make. thats how they did my exhaust on my 7 and my blazer. dont let them tell u that they need to cut the flange off ur original pipe cuz thats bull. they arent special. and that way, if u need to, you can bolt ur original exhaust back up to pass emissions. its so easy! you can do eeet!

just get the racing beat down pipe/pre silencer combo, its only like 190 bucks, goes from the stock manifold to the y-pipe with both pieces
