Anybody ever use FatMat? (ebay link inside)
Ive been looking at this, and it seems pretty damn awesome!
Anybody ever use any of this stuff before? Im really considering buying 100sqft of it, but wanted to see if anybody else had any experiences with it.

i havent weighed the stuff, but i've seen the packages dynamat comes in. it cant be that heavy.
why are you considering this stuff? your car's sound annoy you?
i have the tar and the carpet, but i took out the sound deadening in between them (in a phase i call "bored free mod"). i dont know what it would sound like without the tar (though i've ridden in both BDC's ported T2 and 87GTRs (old) half bridged T2 without the tar). the carpet doesnt weigh a pound, though. i got tired and put it back in with the bins and supports for the bins). maybe 10 pounds?

i am legendary
I took out all the tar from the very back to about mid seat and left the rest up to the firewall, weighed every last scrap and it was 13.2 lbs total.
Don't waste your mony on that stuff, get Peel&Seal, it's roofing material made of the exact same stuff as dynamat and even looks the same, my friend and I did his mustang with it worked great.

I have no idea how much the sound deadening stuff from the factory weighs, but from dynamat's website, the original stuff is .68 pounds for each square foot, and the dynamat extreme is .45 lb/ft^2. Doesn't sound like it's too heavy, but over the whole car i think it would really start to add up, esp if you opt to do the doors and stuff as well as the floor.
