Still working on my FP car for SoloII. I've got the aluminum flywheel, clutch and distributor on the way. The engine is on the stand(but may not use that one). Have to wire up the Autometer guages as well as make the dash piece to hold them. I decided to use the factory dash and just put some thin aluminum on the center console(were the radio and logicon use to be) for them to mount in. The aluminum seat is already mounted. Have to weld the harness bar together(probably going to change the design). Not even close to were I wanted to be with it but extra money is in short supply so the going is slow. Might race the street car for the first few events.

I'm putting an external wastegate on a stock 89-91 manifold. I'm thinking about running two pipes off each runner and then y them together somewhere around the tranny bellhousing. Then I can spot weld the stock flapper shut. That should pretty much let me run anywhere between the 5.7psi spring that's in the tial and I guess the sky's the limit on how high. Also hoping to pick up some power having it vented to atmosphere and not having to make all those queer turns.

I'm currently working on the following:
Stripping out all the emissions crap from my engine bay
Installing clutch pedals/master cylinder/slave cylinder
Installing 4.1LSD differentianl in-place of a 3.9 automatic diff
Removing PS/AC
Freeing my sunroof (ugh) so that I can fix it
Reassembling my interior (was in peices)
Fixing my alarm (wires were cut ;()
Trying to determine just what the hell half the things under my dash are for!

I've gotten both gague pods in and was looking to get some copies made. I have the mickey mouse and corner dash ones.
For my website:
I've gotten about 25 magazines from Australia that have good rx-2, rx-3, rx-4, rx-5, r100 content. That should yield some good pictures and specs.
I've gotten the latest rx-7 book in that has rx-8 pictures and the series VI, VII, and VIII 3rd gen specs (yeah). Also have 2 copies of the EXTREEMLY GOOD 2nd gen book that's out of print. Planning to scan that in plus changing the pics to seamless wallpapers/screensaver.
I've put up a development website - still needs allot of polishing & work. I'm thinking about cleaning up the interface a bit and going with text instead of pictures (www.rotarysource.com).
I may have a source for the nice crome "mazda rx-7" license plate frames - NOT the cheap plastic ones, these are good quality. I've ordered one to check the quality.
I'm going to call victoria british and inquire on glass moonroofs for all 3 gens of rx7s.
Just got my SWEET 2.1MegaPixel cybershot camera. I've snapped & uploaded the dealer "bodyparts" sheets onto photopoint. These have the OEM bodykits/ground effect, etc.. we all want. Yes I know the .pdf files are available on several websites. Also snapped some good pics of a 10th AE (which must be seen in person to be appreciated).
Just got in my first rx7 plastic model kit. I'm NOT opening these - they're collectibles. Hopeing to get some of the other larger toy cars - especially the inial D ones. I have several more coming from Japan.
Haven't had a chance to R&D the true turbo II RC cars yet. I think these are different than the Z electric cars though. The real RC cars have a real mini rotary engine that runs on fuel.
Besides this I'm cleaning/polishing the TII's engine bay and the vert is getting a tuneup (hopefully no more hesitation/backfiring on WOT - wide open throttle )
That's all I can think of now. I'm still trying to find a cheaper way of replacing the seatcovers on my vert. I priced them at $2800 for 2 seats/6 pieces from the discount mazda parts site.
Also need to teach myself photoshop (I'm using paint shop pro right now). Need to learn to combine pics/layers seamlessly (vs side by side).

Sounds good. My project concern is porting the manifold and spanking on some local turbo cars here. Im also considering plastic sunroof hatch and aluminum hood. Striping all the floor and foam. Wraping my wiring harnesses in red tape and hose for looks. Injector cleaning.

I'm in the middle of stripping out a wrecked parts car to replace the motor and trans in my 86 GXL. I'm waiting for an engine hoist to come in from Harbor Freight. (Free shipping ROCKS! Back orders SUCK!!)
Once I get the engine out, I'll strip down the GXL, remove the PS/AC and clean up the engine bay.
I'm also putting off removing my sunroof to free it up. (Looks like a PITA)
