I saw the Fortune Auto's mentioned in an older thread. Admittedly I didn't look them up till just now when I followed the posted link. Now the ship has sailed. After calling Redshift back and talking to Chris the owner some more I ordered the Redshift BC single competition coilovers. RedShift Competition Coilovers (redshiftmotorsports.com) They are basically BC Racing coilovers with different internals and valving. How much different I don't know for sure I neglected to ask/ verify. IIRC Wozzoom said in his post they use Bilstein pistons and their own custom valving. The valving I did confirm. I went pretty soft on springs 6kg fr/ 4kg rear. He said the way his valving works lets you run a softer spring than the type of valving street coilovers use. Almost went with 7kg/5kg but we decided to err on the side of comfort and go with the softer springs. Website says 8–10-week lead time so I'll give a report in a couple months.

Just to add - I also run Fortune 500s in the default 8/6 spring setup. I street drive it all the time on Michigan roads, so I'm definitely on the harsher end of the scale in terms of road conditions. The car came with Maxpeedingrods 10/8 which I drove for about a year, and those were absolutely horrible. Basically no damping and the car would just skip over everything, they sucked. Huge improvement when I went to FA but they still ultimately ride like coilovers so don't expect stock suspension suppleness on the road.
I ultimately went with FA because they seem to be the only company in the US with a mass distribution network (i.e. not custom shop) that actually have a customer support system with knowledgeable staff. Their R&D actually focuses on ride quality with their progressive valving dampers, though I can't say for certain how much of a difference they actually make compared to other coilovers in the same price range. I still wish coilovers that were even more street friendly existed, but the FA coilovers are doing their job well. I would recommend them to anyone for a solid product, just don't expect any magic. They are still coilovers at the end of the day.

I have Koni double adjustable shocks and Hypercoil springs on my coilover setup on my 1993 FD. Hypercoil has dozens of different spring rates. You may have to just try different rates until you find a set that works for you. I have sitting on my shelf in the garage springs from 150 lb to 500 lb. The shocks have adjustments from pillow soft to hard enough to loosen your teeth. You have entered the world of the professional chassis designer and there is no quick answer.

So here's that update I was supposed to post. The Redshift Racing Competition Coilovers came in in Feb., but I got tied up changing the clutch on my truck and didn't get them installed until the end of March. After that I've just been a slacker. I am very pleased with them. I think for my current use the softer 6/4kg. springs were the right choice. They are definitely stiffer than stock but not bouncy for the most part. I might feel some bounce on like a dip but on sharp edge bumps seem more like a firm hit then it's over. Got rid of most of my body roll unless I push it hard. Also like their description said the nose doesn't dive under braking like with the stock stuff. So far only driven on the street and I haven't really pushed the car too hard, but they have broken ground on that racetrack in a neighboring county so hope to eventually do some track days once it's completed.
On a side note it looks like they are moving away from BC Racing. RedShift/BC Competition Coilovers (redshiftmotorsports.com) and replacing them with what they call " Standard Racing Competition Coilovers" "STANDARD Racing" Competition Coilovers (redshiftmotorsports.com) I don't know who the supplier is but I like the measurement marks on the body that mine don't have.
