anti lock idiot light (I searched)
My anti lock idiot light came on the other day so today I picked up some brake fluid because I noticed the resivour was kinda low. I filled the resivour and the light went out. I then drove to work(the light was off) and left my car parked all day at work.
When I went to leave I started it up before I I left to let it warm up, and after I started it the anti lock light came on. So I opened the hood and found fluid that was shot all over on the drivers side.
I am not sure if it was brake fluid or oil. I had normal oil pressure and the brake fluid resivour was still full and the brake pedel pressure was still good. so I am kinda curious as to what others think this may be.
Also what would cause the anti lock light to come on. My FSM and haynes manual are in our storage facility since we are moving soon.
Thanks,
Josh

Take the fluid and pour water on it. If it turns white, it is brake fluid. If the water rolls off it, it is oil.
Another way is to pour bleach on it.
If deadly toxic clouds of white smoke come out, it is break fluid

Low pads won't turn the light on.
Upon start up and moving 3/4 mph, the antilock goes through a diagnostic check. If something amiss, the light comes on. Mazda has a checker, but probably $$$$. Could be no input from a dirty wheel sensor.
