another Q about the BAC valve

Sorry for asking so many questions, but this is my only car and I need it, and i don't want to **** anything up on it, so here it goes: I got the BAC Valve off now, and I ran some carb cleaner through the three openings I am supposed to, now do I have to wash it out with water or something now? When I go to run the BAC valve, when it is off my car, how do I know which thing on part of the plug is positive or negative, does it matter? Thanks

I believe the plug can only go on one way. If not, (someone back me up here) I "believe" from experience that the wires can be swapped without doing any harm. Did you pull the BAC off because you were having problems with idle on loads?

I pulled the BAC off, because the idle is rough, and I am cleaning it out.
