Angry Another game of guess the part!

Just got my new "Jspec" engine... But, it had this line clipped... Checked out my chilton's and I couldn't find out what this line is or where it goes ect.

It sits on the lower intake manifold near the firewall and the emissions crap.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Please and thank you,
Scott

It goes to your catalytic converter, the air pump supplies air to it through that tube.

if you have an aftermarket exhaust it more than likely doesn't have any place for the split air pipe to go. you can leave it as-is as long as it's not leaking. or put a block off plate on there.

It doesn't have to be sealed, since there's just going to be air going through it from the air pump. The only reason to cover it is to keep it from making annoying "woosh" noises at low throttle, under 3500 rpm. A J-spec ACV has the split air path open much more than a US-spec ACV, so it's probably a good idea to cover, but not seal it fully, so it has a pressure relief. I have a block off plate on mine, but no gasket.

Of course, it won't matter at all if the air pump gets removed.
