another exhaust leak thread
mines a simple inquiry
its easy to fix i just don't have the resources to go out and fix it real quick (living in an apartment no tools on hand and working 60 hours a week)
my exhause leak is at the front of the cat with no airpump hooked up to the cat.
i was trying to replace the cat with a midpipe and bolt broke off and i didnt have the time to drill it out and fix it. will an exhaust leak in this location have any detrimental effects? or just simply be annoying?
i do intend to fix it as soon as possible, but if it will have negative effects i will have to make time to do it sooner then possible

A simple, relatively cheap fix would be have a muffler shop cap/weld off the air pump return opening. The only issue I can see is a muffler shop not granting such work, as it might seem "illegal". Most muffler shops will not perform any type of work that is not smog legal.
