Alternator Belt wearing out?
It happens all the time. i install a new alternator belt and it wears out in a matter of days. my theory is that maybe the car is running pretty warm making the belt expand ultimately making it rub and wear out, but the other belts arent ever affected. any ideas on whats wrong?

The one time my engine started eating belts is when I tried using belt dressing on everything. Only the alt belts would die early, though.
What belt are you using? (meaning who's the manufacturer)

You need to make sure:
-pullys are clean and free from rust
-pullys are properly aligned
-belt tension is correct (VERY IMPORTANT)
-alternator is not seizing
-belt dressing is completey unnecessary

Im using gatorback belts, not cheap and it seems likes it rubbs on sumthing but when the car is one(when the belt is good) nothing wobbles or touches.... we alligned the pullys, and all the other belts dont wear out. the alternator pull is clean....

No, an FD alt. will NOT make a belt last longer nor will a double pulley.
You need to check things over again if there is anything sharp protruding out and cutting the belt. After a few drives, check the belt again and see if there are any sign of rubbing or cutting on the face and under side of the belt. It doesn't just snap off .
Even if the belt is very loose or too tight, it won't just snap off. You will hear it if the belt is too loose. If it's too tight, it will be awhile before the alternator bearings go bad.
