I don't see how this is a bad idea. His application for this project has not been expressed so assuming he's going to use this as a street car is pointless.

He's running a simpler design that maximizes air flow into the engine. As long as there's fuel for the air, i don't see how this is a problem. Yes, there are negatives to his design plans (though he has not completely expressed what those plans are) but there negatives to every design plan.

I say we wait until his dyno numbers are back and see how it goes.

^Yeah, if the turns out to be capable of normal street driving, it's just going to be a bonus. I'm focusing entirely on mid and high end gains.

Nothing wrong with running no plenum. The RX-8 doesn't have one. The Weber style intakes don't either. A plenum isn't necessarily a bad thing. It is just a different way to do it. In some ways it has advantages. In others it doesn't. You first mod should be an ecu though. Intakes aren't going to do much unless you change that first.

Yeah I've already been hashing that over in my mind. I'm pretty sure that if I get really into this I'll HAVE to go with a haltech or something...

there's a certain guy with a 20b right now planning a tripple turbo setup. i think he's low on funding right now, but it will be neat to see it once he's got it all together and running. the 20b is running in NA form right now
