86 rx-7 overheating
my 86 rx7 is overheating. i have recently replaced the water pump, thermostat, thermostat housing and hoses. as far as my haynes manual is concerned, the only things left to do are changing my radiator or re-ajust the timing. if anybody has a better idea of what the problem might be feel free to post it. also, i have smoke coming from the bottom rear of the block on the right side and my oil pressure gauge is through the roof even after a full oil change. any advice would help, thanks.

No, thats not a problem with the fan. It only works at very slow speeds. Assuming to replaced the thermostat with a stock unit, it sounds to me like your radiator is clogged.
This page has good info: http://aaroncake.net/RX-7/cooling.htm Go down to the "constantly overheating" section.

I guess its possible, but unlikely. Since you replaced the water pump and thermostat, it sounds like the rad is the only other thing that could be the problem. After it runs, feel around it (carefully) and see if there are hot spots. If one part is cool while another is hot, that means its clogged. If its super clogged, it could be the same temp all the way accross, though.

To the OP, how are you sure that the coolant seals are bad? I went for a while with bad coolant seals and it didn't overheat until it ran out of coolant.
