For all the T2 owners!
I had a few questions, i tried to search but its timing out, so if u have a link to another section with the answers just show me.
-i was thinking about trading in for a T2, but i was wondering how insurance (liability) is for the other T2 owners.
-I have an 89 vert right now, streetport, fullexhaust and intake, it has no problems ever almost. aside minor things like windown wont roll up. its really really reliable. My friend told me that when u have turbo in a car, it can complicate a lot of things i was just wondering if anybody has owned an N/a and a turbo, and how they compare as far as reliability.
-last thing is What woudl be the average cost for an S5 stock or lightly modded t2? thanx
and again, if the search is working for you guys, or you have a link with the info that im asking on it, feel free to post it
thanx

My insurance stayed about the same when I switched from my '88 SE to my '87 TII. I heard maybe some insurance companies ask if it is turbo or not although mines (Allstate) hasn't asked me.
Turbo will definitely be more complicated than an NA. Just more problems to go wrong but it shouldn't be too bad if you're willing to learn and put up with the TII's demands. This forum can help you with just about everything.
S5 stock go for about 3-4K on average in my area depending on miles. S4 TII's are typically around 3-4.5K and S5 TII's can be 4.5-7K on average. In some cases, even 7-10K for absolutely mint and low mileage S5 TII's show up for sale too.

My insurance for my 88 TII (plpd) is $300/year. That is with my dad listed as the primary driver though. The title is in his name as well, even though I payed for the car. It is much cheaper this way. Stick with plpd, full coverage is a scam for young drivers.
