No.. Ive had 2 rx-7s that had back seats, one including a 10th AE

 

You can sort of lay in the sideways and wiggle in. But yeah, not really such thing as a backseat for an RX7 as its only good for groceries

 

ive fit 4 people in my t2. yes. 4. 2+2 FTW. 2 seaters are overrated.

 

I've fit 5 people in my FB but it doesn't mean it's a 5 seater LOL. In the hatch ya go LOL

really? thats ******* nuts! i have never seen a rx7 with more then 2 seats and i got in to a fight with my friend about it he wont stop...well i guess he was rite then. but idk everyone else is says there only 2 seaters... wow im lost

 

You can fit 4 people in there. I used to do it all the time when we went to the street races. Back seat people wont be very comfortable. But the backseats were an option. I wish I had pics so I can post up..

 

Most Jap spec FC's were 2+2. Its my understanding that only the Infini models were 2seaters in Japan... mine is 2+2 (Jap import into Aus)

The back seats are useable... I fit sorta comfortably (100kg 180cm male)

 

Seating capacity with back seat installed: 2 Adults and 2 legless Migets...

ive seen FDs with rear seats as well, and in some no USA countries the FB had a 2+2 option aswell.

 

The 2+2 wasn't particularly popular in the U.S. I was at DGRR and I think I saw about 2 with the 2+2 out of 25+ 2nd Gens.

I think in Japan the 2+2 also gave an insurance or tax cut. Don't quote me on that though.

 

You could even get the TII with the 2+2 option. My 88 TII has it and yes it is factory installed.

 

my 86 N/A was a 2+2 and my 5 year old nephew fit in the back perfect, and that's about it.

 

once i had 6 people in my s4 rx7.

The story is i went to a bbq, and right before i left i noticed the 4banger honda that drove everyone there left. and now everybody is asking me for a ride. I had 3 chicks in the back and 1 sitting on a my goodfriends lap in the passenger seat. I was almost tempted to let him drive =) ahaha

Yes.....because 2+2's are still classified as 2 seaters, if the majority of the cars released were just 2 seaters. At least, that's what the SCCA thinks.

 

The rear seats have nothing to do with seats....unless you areplanning on riding with midgets.
