Air Mix Motor Removal????

Air Mix Motor Removal????
I definately have a bad air mix motor. What is the easiest (if there is such a thing) way to get it out and another one installed? Also, is there a way to test another used one before installation. There are several cars here in the bone yards and I would like to get an air mix motor from one of them instead of paying over $200 for a new one from Mazdatrix.
All suggestions and advice is welcomed.
thanks

as covered before:
Unplug Logicon.
On the other end of the plug/harness that is attached to the logicon, (the plug that the logicon attached harness plugs into) there is a Green/White and a Yellow.
If you put 12V+ on the Green/White while putting ground to the Yellow and the air/mix motor is working, it will move all the way to the cold position.
Reversing the two (12V+ on the Yellow, ground on the Grn/Wht) will move the air/mix motor to the Hot side.
Also, as another check for the air/mix motor, if you use your digital Multi-meter, the resistance between the Grn/Wht and the Yel will be 17 to 21 ohms, if the motor is good.

You know, just curious, but is the motor generally weak in these cars? on full ******* blast, im getting like a slight 'draft' out of my heat vents for heat. Its pathetic.
Could this be the motor, or the logicon controlling the motor??

There is also a adjustment to the shaft from the motor, that adjusts how far the shaft/rod moves the heater adjustment assembly.
If either of those are out of alignment there could be some heat coming out even with the setting on the Logicon set to cold and the Logicon working correctly.

I just replaced the mode control motor on my vert. The only way I could get to it was to pull the dash part of the way out. I would think it would be the same on the air mix. It is just on the other side, about the same distance back.

Probably easiest to just remove the entire blower assembly.
- Remove the glove box (at this point, you can visually inspect what the air mix motor is doing (if anything). It's mounted on the upper left side of the blower box.
- Disconnect the connector for the blower
- Disconnect the various harness connectors (depends on the model year)
- remove 2 nuts at the bottom of the blower box
- remove 1 nut at the upper right, closest to you
- remove the blower assembly (it's a tight fit, but it does come out!)

I did the test. 12v on the green/white and ground the yellow. Also ran 12v to yellow and grounded the green/white and nothing happened. No sound at all.
Now I have been trying to get the air mix motor out. At this point I think I will put a couple of stick of dynamite under the car, light the fuse, and pick the air mix motor out of whatever is left. I think they built the entire car around that stinking little motor.

Well, I got it out and it only took one stick of dynamite. Not exactly but my garage looks like something exploded in it after I got through taking crap off the car. I finally had to bend the air duct down that runs behind the instrument cluster to be able to get a screwdriver to the three screws that hold on the air mix motor. When I got it out it definately was bad. The motor was totally locked up, wouldn't move at all. Now the fun part will be getting the thing back in and putting everything back together. Can't wait.

I have heat! It works!! Putting it all back together was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I got an air mix motor and another logicon from a local bone yard (tested it before I bought it) for $40 and now my heater works again. Thanks to everyone who help me out with this one.
By the way to whoever replied and suggested removing the blower motor. That would do no good at all since it is on the wrong side of the center console from the air mix motor. Look over the layout of the car before making suggestions.
