Thumbs up Ahh the good old days of screaming at your car

Haven't had this in a while since my 88 GTU hasn't given me any major problems for a while.

I was taking apart the intake manifold on my bridgeport sport to jb weld the s5 lim intake port air thinga mabob and to paint the manifolds, so i start off by breaking a few vacuum lines, few screams here and there at the car, then i noticed whoever put the lim back on forgot 2 NUTS! so i go a bit crazy there, then they use a ruler (i think) for the egr block off plate WTF? but its semi thick and metal so i'll just rtv it again and put a lip around it so air won't escape, then i put my jb weld on my lim, forgot you have to let it sit after you mix it, DOH theres a wasted 5 bucks, i also bought 4 foot of the wrong vacuum line Doh, at the same time that i was pissed off my head, i just started laughing because i missed doing this stuff, haha.

It all started by cleaning my "everyone's favourite" burgandy interior then it turned into ripping apart the intake manifold and stuff. I don't know much about the purpose of this thread, just wanted to know if anyone has had similar experiences with your cars, mods feel free to delete it if you wish.

Lol i guess i'm not the only one! on my first fc (87 sport) I would literally fix something then something else would go wrong, i'd fix the diff mount, then my coolant hose under the intake manifold would bust, then my alt would go bad, then i'd get a vac leak so on and so on, and of course we all have the never ending dance with the idling problems.

haha yeah on avarage i break something every few weeks, gosh my old one i had so many things break,
theres is one thing that ive really gotten pissed about, breaking the rear diff mount makes me angry!!!!!
, then finding out i actually broke the BRACKET off the SUBFRAME so going to pull apart go get a new one realising they put the jack stands under the car ON the sub frame of the only FC there, beating the **** out of the jack stand with a hammer to move it off of the sub frame.... then fix that ****, guess what?? about 8 months later i break the subframe bracket on the new one!!! so i got mad fliped out and welded on a double thickness bracket on, then sold the car!! it must of had a bullet proof mount or something!

Worst thing that happened to me with my car is IT crushed my finger in it's hatch. I didn't have the key on me to open the hatch from the back and I couldn't pull my finger out, so I had to wait for a stranger to walk by in the parking lot to pull the hatch release from inside. All I could do was laugh it hurt so much.

I've been working under the hood before, i went up to get something, went back down, WHAP hit my forehead on the corner of the hood and busted myself open, almost felt like putting a dent in it. Only thing that makes me smile is knowing i got 2 fc's tehehe
