while were talking about stereos, does anyone know the wiring colours to put an aftermarket deck in a 86gxl. the prevous owners took the stock deck out so I cant use those handy adapter things. I want to have mind ready to be just pluged in when I get my engine in so i cant just hook up the battrey and test the wires to see what is what. so If anyone has the colours for power, power antenna, accesory, ect I would really like to know. thanks

Well to make the power antenna work, you have to rund some kind of new relay to it but I am not sure how to do that I still havn't hooked mine up. And also, when yo put a new CD player in, you have to bypass the factory amps. So it is kinda a pain in the butt.

I made my own, out of 5mm lexan/polycarbonate and gave it a flat black spray.
Its not really that hard just unbolt the stock radioplate, lay the clear lexan over the gap and plot in where the holes are supposed to be.

Because it has the clock and idiot lights (the lights that come on if there is a failure of something, like you forgot to plug in the seat belt, or you are out of gas).

still needs a few finishing touches ( and the heaters blocked off ). i was going to mount the head units in the original bolt on clamp thing but ended up using the cages instead. i have put a clamp behind the whole panel around both units to help stop them being
stolen . will try to get some better pics soon.
